What did you find most interesting about joining our company?
To be honest, it was the opportunity to work with something completely new to me. I had heard about LiDAR before, but only in the context of the technology on my phone. The timing was also perfect. I had just left my previous role after almost four years at another software company that developed a recruitment platform focused on talent retention and industrial collaboration. It felt like a great chance to grow personally and start fresh while still applying my 20 years of experience in marketing, software development, and stakeholder management to a new product.
The product itself has enormous potential, as the LiDAR industry is still in the early stages of broader adoption within industrial applications, and sensor prices are steadily decreasing. This technology offers many advantages compared to traditional camera-based systems.
How can a company create a culture where people have high goals and strong ambition?
In my opinion, culture always starts at the top with the leaders and then spreads throughout the organization. It is something that develops gradually over time and needs to be nurtured with care. When it comes to building a culture for people with high goals and strong ambition, it is important to have a clear vision and a solid strategy that everyone understands and supports. Open communication is also essential for creating trust and ensuring that people feel comfortable admitting when they do not have all the answers. A startup is a great environment for people like this, as the natural pressure and accountability to stakeholders push both individuals and teams to perform and grow.
What values or behaviors do you think make a team truly successful?
I believe a truly successful team is built on respect and trust, where people value each other’s perspectives and feel confident sharing ideas openly. Open-mindedness allows the team to explore new approaches and adapt quickly when things change, while strong communication keeps everyone aligned and focused on common goals. Expertise provides the foundation for delivering high-quality results, and agility ensures the team can respond effectively to challenges or new opportunities. Above all, success comes from consistent hard work and a shared commitment to move forward together, even when the pressure is high.
